Noobs and Nerds
Here is a guide on how to install the Portal

Superb work there
Now, installing the build can be a pain in the arse, it really can. So....
Step 1) In the add-on navigate to the build you want to install, if the one you want isn't there it may be marked as containing adult content so you will have to enable XXX in the addon settings. If you still can't find it then it may be marked up as not compatible for your setup, for example a Gotham only build will not show if you're running Helix. This is yet another reason you should use the addon rather than manually downloading, it does error checks to make sure you aren't going to screw up your existing build - something that other "wizard" style installers fail to do.
Step 2) Click on description to make sure this is the one you want installed, the description may well include details of any known bugs or fixes so always worth checking in here before installing.
Step 3) Click the install option 4 and you'll get some options of whether you want to merge, keep your existing library etc. once you've gone past those just sit back and make a cuppa and wait for the add-on to do it's thing. Depending on the speed of the servers, the popularity and the file size this could take anything from minutes to hours! Normally it's minutes but a particularly big and popular build (especially if it's just been updated) can occasionally take hours to download.
Step 4) Make sure the the extraction process completed successfully, if it didn't get to 100% complete and quit halfway through the extraction process then you know there's been a problem, most likely something in the build that shouldn't be there. This is very rare but it can happen, if this happens and you don't have any luck using the method below try the third (bottom) option listed on here. Once extracted it will ask you to switch to the relevant skin, if you can't see the relevant skin in the list you may have to restart Kodi.
Step 5) Once you've changed the skin go back to the add-on and navigate to the build you just installed then click on the install option 2 (guisettings.xml fix). This is an extremely important step - this file contains all the bespoke skin settings and also all your Kodi settings such as location, screensaver, screen calibration etc. Yet another reason it's best to use the add-on to install the build is it will magically merge your existing settings with the new build settings so you can install all the new skin settings and not lose your existing bespoke Kodi settings.
Step 6) Once you've installed step 2 you should now be able to see a change in how the homepage looks, just reboot and those settings should stick. Occasionally (depending on the device) it may take a couple of attempts for step 2 to work but don't worry you don't have to start from scratch, just keep trying step 2 until the new changes take effect. Please note changes WILL NOT take effect unless you're running the correct skin!
So fingers crossed, Obisidian will have been installled.
